Jealous by Labrinth
This a theoretical costume design assignment. Students were asked to choose a song that spoke to them and design costumes for a music video
For this design I really wanted to incorporate Labrinth's signature color: yellow. When I listen to this song I picture a lot of fluid movements and an ebb and flow between partners. I wanted a nostalgic feel. This is evident in the man's clothing, specifically the trousers and the fedora. Moreover I wanted to capture of the feel of the song in the poses of the characters. Like the song I wanted them to feel together but also apart.
